27 Weeks - Welcoming Baby Niece Olivia

How far along? 27 weeks - the end of the SECOND trimester! Entering the "home stretch" :)

Due Date? January 14, 2014 (We were back on track this week at the doctor's appointment, measuring right at 27 weeks!)

This weeks appointment included the much dreaded Glucose test, but I survived! We should know the results sometime on Monday.

How big is baby? Miss B is the size of cauliflower, and she is about 14.5 inches long and weighs 2 WHOLE POUNDS!

Maternity clothes? Still wearing both regular and maternity - wishing I had sweaters and boots to wear with leggings EVERY DAY. (SO excited for this beautiful fall weather!)

Stretch marks? Nope

Sleeping? Doing pretty good with the sleeping right now, although staying comfortable is pretty difficult - but doing it a WHOLE lot, any time of the day! (I'm SUPER tired these days!)

Miss anything? Just being able to eat what I want...I miss regular everyday sandwiches. (Still the same this week!)

Movement? When talking to her daddy, I referred to her movement today as "The Harlem Shake..." - That pretty much sums up what it feels like, crazy and all over the place!

Food cravings? Cinnamon!

Food aversions? No problems here this week.

Gender predictions? Girl, girl, girl!

Symptoms? Nothing new - I could do without the Braxton Hicks.

Belly button – in or out? In(ish)

Wedding rings – on or off? On

Mood? Doing good :)

Labor signs? Nope.

Best moment this week? Miss Olivia Lynn was born on Monday, October 14 at 6:55 pm.  She was 7 pounds, 10 ounces and 20 inches long.  Our new sweet niece is absolutely beautiful and perfect in every way! We are so glad she is here and have loved all of the sweet time with our family over the past week!

Candice was scheduled for an elective induction on Monday morning and (after a rough start on the day) we got the text from Alan around 10:30 that it was time to head that way! We made it to Conroe in time to see Alan and Candice for a bit and then head over to their house for when Tate woke up from his nap.  Mimi and Pappy got there just in time for that, too and we spent a little time playing, followed by dinner at Canes, and then it was up to the hospital to visit Mommy and Daddy for just a bit.

Before we knew it, it was time for Miss O's big entrance, and the rest was flashes and smiles as we took lots of pictures of that pretty little girl's very first moments of life!

Listening in as Baby Sister was crying
We were able to spend some more time with Olivia and her family on Tuesday, which is when I got my first snuggles with this little beauty.  We are definitely already in love with her and have enjoyed the past few days with her Big Brother while Mommy and Daddy spend some time getting adjusted back at home! Life is GOOD!

Looking forward to? I'm looking forward to more time with Miss Olivia, her big brother Tate, and her momma, daddy, and Mimi!  My 28th birthday is also this week, and I can't think of a better way to spend it than with the newest October Baby!

We are ending the week back in Sulphur Springs at the Hopkins County Stew Festival...Bryleigh and I are BOTH looking forward to that! ;)
