A year before Brad and I got married, I created a website to keep our friends and family informed about all that was going on. I enjoyed having that outlet to share with everyone, so I decided we should start a blog to keep everyone up to date! After all, newlyweds DO learn the most life lessons, so why not share them with the world?!
Since we got back from our honeymoon in August, we have settled in to our apartment and have enjoyed adjusting to married life.
Brad is just about to finish up his fall semester and he is working so hard to finish strong. I'm SO proud of him. He's also working full time for Texas Power (where I think he'll honestly retire from some day - after becoming the CEO or General Manger of course!).
I have thoroughly enjoyed my first fall semester away from classes, but have made the (not so spur-of-the-moment) decision to go BACK to school. I'm a few accounting classes short of a second degree, and accounting WAS my first love, so I'm going to finish what I set out to do in the first place! I'm working at Young Elementary (where I do NOT plan to retire) and I absolutely love my kids. They are definitely entertaining and keep me on my toes. I am working with 7th grade students as a math TAKS tutor, and I even had to have a tutoring session of my own over Thanksgiving break.
God has blessed us with so much in life and we look forward to sharing with you, keeping you up-to-date, and hopefully sending you some encouragement from time to time!
