Thankfully Thankful

I have so much to be thankful for, God has seriously blessed me more than I could have ever imagined!

Before we get started...these are in no particular order :)

- I have a husband that CONTINUALLY makes me laugh.  The guy says the most hilarious things...and he doesn't even mean to.  BRAD loves me unconditionally and does more for me than I could have ever imagined!

- I have a puppy that snuggles like nothing I've ever imagined, but exactly what I wanted when I dreamed of getting a "teacup puppy".  EMMITT LAYNE seriously brings so much joy to my life.

- I have a GOOD JOB.  In the last 13 months, I have not even CONSIDERED looking at a website to find another job (that's a big deal, y'all!). I seriously LOVE it!

- Brad and I have been blessed to be able to save for our downpayment over the past 6 months, and watch our FIRST HOME be built.  SERIOUSLY fun and so exciting!

- I got a new name a little over a year ago - Auntie C - and it's seriously my most favorite name ever. The smiles and laughs that TATE ALAN shares with us are seriously a piece of heaven on earth.  I never knew I could love someone so much.

- S'MORES...I'm seriously thankful for S'mores.  Do I really need to expand on this?! I'm pretty sure it's self explanatory!

- My parents (I really can't adequately say how thankful I am for them and all the reasons why I am thankful for them...so I'm not going to try...)

My MOM.  She is my rock and my very best friend. She supports every decision I make, she encourages me, and she always has the words I need to hear.

My PAPPY has continued to treat me like a Princess, providing for me my whole life, encouraging me and teaching me about how we are supposed to live this life.

- I'm thankful for my RED HAIR...God got a little creative when it came to my hair, and I'm thankful that I have something a little different.  It's definitely something that makes me ME...I also like that I don't have to pay $100.00 every six weeks for color ;)

- My little sister(-in-law).  ERIN LEIGH Hammons is the most incredible young woman I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.  Her love for the Lord is something that pushes me in my own faith and she is so much fun to be around...always!

- I love me some ROSE GOLD...glasses, watches, a nice little ring, anything...not to mention it goes great with #8 :) - This also covers my love of pink...

- ALAN. My brother, built in best friend, and some one I have been able to look up to my whole life.  I am so thankful for the brother he is, I am thankful for the husband and father he is, and I am thankful that He puts the Lord before everything else.

- CANDICE LYNN. My sister-in-law, there will ALWAYS be laughs when she is around and she is probably the ONLY person that could live with Alan Armstrong for the rest of his life :) Just kidding, it is such a blessing to watch them do life together.

- I'm extremely thankful for MUSIC...when I don't have the words, I find songs to say them.  It can change my mood, speak to my heart, and most importantly allows me to worship my Heavenly Father.

- DVR.  Brad and I watch A LOT of tv.  Some people might think that's a bad thing, but we enjoy it.  It's something we do together and it brings a lot of laughs and conversations about.  Not to mention its just fun to see different worlds.

- DEANNE, my mother in law, is always doing things to help Brad and me and has blessed us in some incredible ways. She always has our best interest at heart, and her encouragement for both of us is such a blessing.

- My father in law, BRYAN, is unlike any one else I've ever met.  He's probably the most selfless person I have ever met and he has a heart for missions and helping those in need. I am extremely thankful for all that he does for Brad and me.

- I'm thankful for CARBS. I love bread, mashed potatoes, pasta...I just really like carbs. (Please just DON'T let my PCOS doctor know about this one...)

- I've already mentioned that I'm thankful for my job, but on top of that - I'm thankful for my CO-WORKERS.  I have built some INCREDIBLE friendships and have some special ladies that have been SUCH an encouragement to me.  They have truly become my best friends...and the guys definitely add to the humor during the day. We laugh...a lot!

- I am thankful for FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH SULPHUR SPRINGS.  SO much of my faith in the Lord and my relationship with Him were built at this church.  I have SO many memories that would not have happened had it not been for SSFBC.

- There is nothing more relaxing than sitting back and letting someone else make your nails look pretty... I'm thankful for the ability to get MANIS AND PEDIS every once in a while, and when they happen with my mom and sister-in-law, they are even better!

- I am thankful for the ability to read.  I am thankful for the freedom to read whatever book I choose, and I am thankful for the wide variety of BOOKS available to me.  I love getting lost in a good fiction book, joining their world for a while, but I also love challenging myself and learning with a good nonfiction book.

- I am thankful that I grew up in a house that watched FOOTBALL in the fall and played BASEBALL in the summer, and I am thankful that I share a love of sports with my husband. I just really do love sports. PS This also covers being thankful for the Rangers and the Cowboys! :)

- I am so incredibly thankful for PICTURES and the ability to remember some amazingly special memories and people.  I can look at a picture of my Granddad and hear his voice.  I can look at a picture of our wedding and the flood of emotions come rushing back.  I am SO very thankful for pictures.

- God has blessed me with an incredible FAMILY!  Beyond those I have already mentioned, I come from a "Legacy of Love" and enjoy all of the time I get to spend with my grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins, not to mention the family I married in to - I have felt like I belonged since day 1.

- I am thankful for our church family. I am thankful for FIELDER CHURCH for so many reasons.  It's where I have learned SO much about myself, it's where I met my husband, and it is (probably) the church where my kids will learn about their Savior.  I am thankful for the opportunities I have already had while at Fielder, the challenges from the messages our Senior staff bring each week, and the friendships that have developed over the past 6 years.

- I am thankful for the time I was able to spend in the beautiful country of MOLDOVA with the beautiful people that live there.  I am thankful for the passion my father-in-law that had for those people that has now become a passion at Fielder and spread to so many others.  I am thankful for all that trip taught me about the Lord's love for me and for His lost children.

- Some may not be too thankful for FACEBOOK, but I sure am.  I love being able to keep in touch with friends and family from near and far.

- I spent 18 years looking forward to being a BAYLOR BEAR and loved the 2 years I got to spend there.  I will always be a Baylor Bear and I am thankful for my time there.  I am thankful to have such a fun team to cheer for, and I'm thankful that we've had A LOT to cheer for over the past few years!!

- On the topic of Baylor...I'm also thankful for RG3! :) I'm thankful we had so much to cheer for last year and that he is continuing to make us proud this year...on and off the field. He's just an awesome guy!

- More than anything, I am thankful for my Savior, JESUS CHRIST.  I am thankful that He never gives up on me and has blessed me beyond what I could ever imagine or deserve.  I am thankful for His promise that He isn't finished with me yet, and I am thankful for the hope he has given me for what is to come.
