Boy did we have a busy weekend...which has been pretty normal for us over the past few months, and we wouldn't have it any other way!
My parents came in on Friday night because my mom and I had tickets to the Women of Faith conference that takes place each year at the America Airlines Center. There's just something about worshipping the Heavenly Father with 16,000 other ladies and hearing a powerful word from women that are sold out for Jesus...and not afraid to show their imperfections.
We were blessed to spend Saturday morning and afternoon with family celebrating my uncle Larry's CLEAR pathology report...Did I mention he got the call ON his 70th birthday?! Larry's boss created a team for a local 5k walk that is raising awareness for prostrate cancer.
We followed up the 5k with hamburgers and an awesome cookie cake at my aunt and uncle's house to continue the celebration for Larry.
Brad and I were excited to take my Aunt Sissy and cousin Julie and her family by our house to show them all the work they'd already done, but WE were the one in for a surprise when we turned on the street and saw our ROOF had been added over the past week. There was definitely a LOT going on at the house this week and it was so exciting to show it to our family. We also got to walk around inside for the first time since they'd poured the concrete.
